Artem Mariychin is the co-founder and CEO of Zodiac. He is passionate about the potential of using data to improve strategic decision-making and business operations. Previously, Artem was an investor at companies including Goldman Sachs, Highbridge Capital, 3G Capital, and Perry Creek Capital where he focused on identifying investment opportunities arising from industries undergoing structural change, companies facing complex situations, and disruptive technologies. Artem was most recently a Principal at Perry Creek Capital, an investment firm with long-duration capital and ability to invest opportunistically across industries in both public and private markets. Before Perry Creek, Artem was an analyst at 3G Capital, an investment firm that manages approximately $7 billion across liquid and private equity vehicles. Within the public markets vehicle, he had responsibility over idea generation and fundamental research across numerous industries including the industrial, energy, and consumer discretionary sectors. Prior to 3G, Mr. Mariychin worked at Highbridge Capital Management in 2011 as an analyst in the Capital Structure Opportunities team, where he focused on fundamental research of multiple sectors in both credit and equities. Mr. Mariychin is originally from Moscow, Russia and grew up near Detroit, Michigan. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, completing the Roy Vagelos Program in Life Sciences and Management. As part of the dual degree program, he received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School with concentrations in Finance, Statistics, and Operations & Information Management and a B.A. with Distinction in Biology from the College of Arts & Sciences.
